Party Anthem
Party Anthem is KIN’s most ambitious and darkest work to date. Written in 2020, the song was inspired by the Reclaim the Streets movement that was taking over London at the time. A party should be a celebration, but women can’t always be at one (or leave one) without questioning their safety. And often there's that one guy discussing conspiracies in the kitchen that you’d just like to roll your eyes at and escape from! The song embodies this feeling with siren-like guitars, grungy bass line and melancholic sampled electric piano.
Recorded at Supervox Studios in East London, the record was produced by Josh Tyrell (Mark Ronson, Lana Del Rey, Tony Visconti).
